This policy explains how BVWORKS LLC, doing business as Buena Vista Works ("we," "us"), collects and uses information when you visit buenavistaworks.com (the "Site") or contact us for a quote.
Information we collect
- Information you give us. When you use our quote form, call, text, or email us, we collect what you provide: your name, email, phone number, neighborhood or borough, the service you're interested in, and any project details.
- Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and pages requested, for security and to keep the Site running.
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the Site, such as pages viewed, approximate location (city level), device type, and how you arrived. Analytics cookies are set only if you click "Accept" on our cookie banner. If you decline or don't choose, no cookies are set and Google receives only limited, cookieless signals (for example, that a page was viewed) that it uses to estimate overall site and ad performance.
- Advertising. If you reach the Site from one of our Google ads, Google may record that click so we can measure whether our ads lead to quote requests. We do not use your information for ad personalization.
How we use your information
- To respond to your quote request, schedule walk-throughs, and prepare proposals.
- To provide and bill for services you hire us for, and to keep records required by law.
- To understand and improve the Site and our advertising.
- To protect the Site from spam, fraud, and abuse.
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it with other companies for their own marketing.
Service providers we use
We share information only with providers that help us run the business, and only as needed for that purpose:
- Netlify hosts the Site.
- Formspree receives quote form submissions and delivers them to our email.
- Google provides email (Gmail), Google Analytics (with your consent), and Google Ads measurement.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights, property, or safety.
Cookies
The Site itself works without cookies. Analytics and ad measurement cookies (from Google Analytics and Google Ads) are set only after you click "Accept" on the cookie banner. We never use them for ad personalization or remarketing. You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page, or by clearing cookies in your browser. We store your choice in your browser's local storage so we don't ask again on every visit.
How long we keep information
We keep quote requests and customer records for as long as needed to respond to you and provide our services, and afterward as required for tax, accounting, and contractor record-keeping obligations. Analytics data is kept according to our Google Analytics retention settings (14 months or less).
How we protect information
The Site is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and we limit access to your information to people who need it to do their job. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information, consistent with New York's data security law.
Your choices
- You can ask us to see, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing hello@buenavistaworks.com. We'll respond within 30 days, except where we must keep records by law.
- You can decline or withdraw cookie consent at any time with the "Cookie settings" link.
- You can opt out of Google Analytics across sites with Google's browser add-on.
Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows when it last changed.
